As part of the EU PVSEC parallel events, our workshop titled Manufacturing Innovative PV Technology in the EU - Chances and Challenges brought together three prominent European Innovation projects -IBC4EU, PILATUS, and PEPPERONI-funded under the European Union´s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme. The workshop showcased their innovative approaches to advancing the future of photovoltaic (PV) technology manufacturing in Europe.

The event featured concise presentations from each project, followed by an engaging panel discussion exploring the opportunities and challenges of revitalising the PV manufacturing industry in Europe.

The workshop underscored how the EU is preparing for growth and innovation in PV technology manufacturing. Discussions highlighted the role of cutting-edge technologies, supportive policies, and growing market demand in shaping this future. Attendees gained valuable insights from expert presentations and actively participated in a dynamic panel discussion with industry leaders, market experts, and policymakers. Key topics included Europe`s competitiveness in the global PV market, supply chain dependencies, and regulatory hurdles, along with collaborative strategies to establish a robust, innovative PV manufacturing ecosystem in Europe
