The IBC4EU-organised parallel event “PV Made in the EU: How Do Companies Die and How Can They Thrive?” took place during EU PVSEC 2025. The session explored the role of Interdigitated Back Contact (IBC) technologies in revitalising and scaling up PV manufacturing in Europe. It opened with an overview of the EU PV market and innovation ecosystem, followed by presentations from key industry stakeholders.
A high-level panel discussion addressed the main challenges facing European PV companies and offered actionable recommendations for national and EU policymakers.
By highlighting both risks and opportunities, the event contributed to the dialogue on building a sustainable, competitive, and resilient “PV Made in Europe” industry.
